1. Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Cyprus Sparks. By using the service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to agree to these Terms.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and use only an account you are authorised to control. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity resulted from a security failure for which you are not responsible.
3. Dating and user-generated content
Cyprus Sparks allows users to create profiles, upload photos, send messages, publish Date Post content and otherwise interact with other users. You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Cyprus Sparks a limited licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, secure and provide the service.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use Cyprus Sparks to:
- create or operate an account for a person under 18;
- sexualise, exploit, groom or endanger a minor or facilitate child sexual exploitation;
- facilitate prostitution, trafficking, exploitation or commercial sexual services;
- post pornography, non-consensual intimate imagery or other prohibited sexually explicit material;
- threaten, harass, bully, stalk, intimidate or promote hate;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- scam, defraud, solicit money, promote fraudulent investments or request financial transfers from other users;
- send spam or mass unsolicited communications;
- publish another person's private information without authority;
- infringe intellectual-property or other legal rights;
- evade a suspension, ban, safety measure or moderation control; or
- use the service for unlawful activity.
5. Moderation
Cyprus Sparks may use automated rules and human review to prevent, detect or respond to prohibited content and conduct. Content can be rejected, withheld from publication or removed. Accounts may be restricted, suspended or banned where we reasonably believe these Terms or safety requirements have been violated.
6. Reporting and blocking
Cyprus Sparks provides tools for reporting inappropriate behaviour and blocking users. Reports may be reviewed and actioned by authorised moderators. Misuse of reporting tools may itself result in action.
7. Meetings and personal safety
Cyprus Sparks does not control the conduct of individual users and cannot guarantee another person's identity, intentions or behaviour. Exercise reasonable care before meeting or communicating with another user. Review our Safety Centre.
8. Location
Location features are optional. If you provide precise location, it may be used to support distance-based discovery. Exact coordinates are not intended to be displayed to other users.
9. Service availability
We may change, maintain, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational or product reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
10. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, fraud, abuse, safety risks, underage use or other conduct that threatens users or the service.
You may delete your account using the account-deletion control in the app.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Cyprus Sparks processes personal information.
12. Intellectual property
Cyprus Sparks branding, software, site design and other service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to users.
13. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cyprus Sparks is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cyprus Sparks is not responsible for losses caused solely by the independent acts or omissions of other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where the service or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
